AussieGolfQuest Update – July 2018

Since completing the Australian Golf Digest Top 100 list last year, motivation has been hard when it comes to golf, playing and updating the website. With a few changes in life, I have managed to get my mojo back. Currently on a golf sabbatical for a few months which has seen a few golf trips already to Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

This year is aimed at getting courses played from any of the Australian Golf Digest or Golf Australia Magazine lists dating 2012 through 2018. So far this year they are:

1. Black Bull Golf Course
2. Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club (Murray)
3. Manly Golf Club
4. North Lakes Golf Resort
5. Arundel Hills Country Club
6. Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club (River & West)
7. Sandringham Golf Course
8. Joondalup Resort (Both nines including Lake)
9. Sun City Golf Club
10. Royal Fremantle Golf Club
11. Royal Perth Golf Club
12. Warrnambool Golf Club

This leaves the following number to be played:

YEAR GOLF DIGEST GOLF AUSTRALIA
2012 2 4
2014 0 1
2016 0 3
2018 5 3

As usual there has been quite a few visits to courses already played. In particular the Royal Clubs as well as a few on the Gold Coast, nice place to visit avoiding the Melbourne Winter:

1. Royal Melbourne Golf Club – West Course
2. Royal Queensland Golf Club
3. Royal Sydney Golf Club
4. Royal Adelaide Golf Club
5. Victoria Golf Club
6. Links Lady Bay
7. The National Golf Club – Old Course
8. NSW Golf Club
9. Brookwater Golf Club
10. Lakelands Golf Club
11. Links Hope Island
12. RACV Royal Pines
13. Joondalup Resort (Quarry/Dune)
14. Port Fairy Golf Club
15. RACV Healesville

So expect a bit more content to appear on the site. Certainly has helped to motivate with a few emails from readers. Especially when they mention it has assisted in selecting a golf club to join. Just looking there are 23 drafts to be completed for course visits, so this will cover a few areas around the country. Hope you are all enjoying your golf.
