On a business trip to Singapore, I wanted to venture out to another country to play golf. I had played a few times in Singapore previously, finding it hugely expensive and not overly satisfying. Ria Bintan in Indonesia seemed like it would be an adventure, especially with its iconic 9th hole, so off I went.
Ocean Club
Travelling to the Bahamas for some R&R, I always like to get a game of golf in when visiting different places. Spending a few days at Atlantis Resort enabled me to gain access to the Ocean Club, so I jumped at the chance for this previous Top 100 Golf Resort course.
Bethpage State Park Black Course
Bethpage Black – Former host to two US Opens, site of The Barclays in the 2012 Fed Ex Cup, future site for the PGA Championship and a public course to boot. On my bucket list, so without hesitation I found myself teeing up on this Top 100 golf course.
Augusta National Golf Club
Augusta National Golf Club. What more can be said, other than a sensational course. Just to be clear I didn’t play this course but visited during the 2011 Masters, an experience I will never forget.
Pebble Beach Golf Links
Stopping at Monterey to catch-up with friends on the way to Los Angeles, the temptation to play Pebble Beach was too hard to resist. Having played the course so many times on the PC, it was time to step into the real world and physically play a round at this iconic golf course.
