Starting my weekend away west of Melbourne, saw a visit to one of the great links courses in the Barwon Heads region, Thirteenth Beach Golf Links Beach Course.
Eynesbury Golf Club
Travelling west of Melbourne again into the country, but this time not alone with regular playing partner James was accompanying me, Eynesbury Golf Club was the destination to tick sixty seven courses off the top one hundred list.
Newcastle Golf Club
Playing the second leg of my weekend away, took me to a Top 100 course which can only be described as a hidden gem. A friend I had played with at NSW mentioned Newcastle Golf Club was just as good if not better than his home club. It certainly gives it some competition.
Bethpage State Park Black Course
Bethpage Black – Former host to two US Opens, site of The Barclays in the 2012 Fed Ex Cup, future site for the PGA Championship and a public course to boot. On my bucket list, so without hesitation I found myself teeing up on this Top 100 golf course.
Elanora Country Club
Elanora Country Club, located high in the hills along the Northern Beaches of Sydney, was one of only two clubs left for me to play in my former home town. It turned out to be a gem.
RACV Healesville Country Club
An opportunity arose to play RACV Healesville Country Club, which is part of RACV Club in Melbourne. My friend James and I decided this would be a course worth visiting so off we ventured into the countryside.

The Links Kennedy Bay
The Links Kennedy Bay would have to be one of the best seaside links in Australia. Certainly giving a feel as if you were in the United Kingdom playing on some of the older courses in the World.
The National Golf Club – Long Island Course
Long Island Country Club, located in the Melbourne Sandbelt holds its own against some of its more famous neighbours. This par 72 course originally built in 1938.
Barnbougle Lost Farm
Making the trip to Tassie, it would be unforgivable to not sneak a game in at one of the countries best public courses, Barnbougle Lost Farm. The rise of this course to near top of the rankings has been dramatic.
