The Day Spa at Barnbougle Lost Farm

Ideas when not on the Golf Course

I do a fair share of golf trips with just my wife. She doesn’t play golf however so we always try to find areas with a bit to do off the course. Having traveled with me, whilst playing quite a few courses during my Top 100 Quest, she certainly had the chance to find check out the local areas.

So when asked by Golf Digest Australia to put forward some ideas on favourite regions or what to do off the golf course, she didn’t hesitate. In fact this is quite proudly boasted to anyone who will listen, she has her own part in an article of a golf magazine.

Here are five of her suggestions:

  1. Barnbougle Lost Farm – Day Spa and restaurant
  2. Port Douglas – Palmer Sea Reef Resort
  3. Mornington Peninsula Cups Region – Wineries and Hot Springs
  4. Perth – Rottnest Island
  5. Hamilton Island – Pools and beaches

By far she loves the day spa at Lost Farm. It does not take much convincing to get a trip playing two top ten courses in the country. The restaurant is extremely good also.

So if you are ever struggling to get away for that illustrious golf trip, try selling the idea with some of these. I don’t even have to try now, my wife gives me suggestions. This is the full article by Tony Webbeck published in Golf Digest Australia August 2018 edition
