Merry Christmas 2018. Hope you have all had a chance to hit the course this Christmas and rejoicing, for who doesn’t love golf.
So did Santas’ sleigh hit your rooftops during the night? For myself I managed a few little treasures to help in my golfing ways Ho Ho Ho:
Something I ‘won’ on Ebay, my wife usually says this when she has made a purchase, but an early present to myself, Ben Hogan Apex 73 irons. Starting to really get into ‘retro’ golf. Nothing more pure than hitting a blade cleanly and it actually helps my game quite a lot. Just have to add onto the set a little with a nice set of persimmons, sand wedge and a ‘Bullseye’ putter.
To help ensure that I don’t have the problem of those not quite so useful golfing presents, my wife and I use and app listing a multitude of ideas. This was helpful in covering a couple of items I had seen throughout the year. The first, letters created by The Little Golfer, made up of unique holes by various golf course architecture styles. Soon to find their way on the wall to the home office.
The second, something I have been eyeing off for quite some time. The Sun Mountain Clubglider. Doing a bit of travel with the golf clubs, my old travel bag has seen better days, but is also a strain taking through the airport. The Clubgliders pull down wheels, holding the golf bags weight, doesn’t strain the arm holding the bag off the ground. Remarkably light in weight, I’m looking forward to the first trip away.
Mustn’t forget the person with impeccable taste for our KK gifts. An exquisite Shaked Caddy Cap from Birds of Condor. A take on the gopher from Caddeyshack, which is one of my favourite golf movies. This Australian brand looks at urban wear, not your traditional golf clothing range. This is a space starting to gain traction.
Not that Christmas is all about gifts, it is the one time of the year we as a family spread out across the country, we come together. Last year we managed to have five generations in the same room, quite a rare feat for any family. Hope you all have a safe and joyful Christmas (or for you Sienfeld fans, Happy Festivus)
