Cottesloe Golf Club

Wanting to not travel to far from the city, I thought it a great time to complete all the courses in Perth’s city regions area. The last on my list was Cottesloe Golf Club. After contacting the clubs general manager, I was informed that four holes were out of play due to construction. Second thoughts then arose, but being offered a reduced green fee I decided to play the course anyway.

Monash Country Club

I had seen a few Golf Link days advertised, but was never able to attend, for one reason or another. Finally everything aligned and I was able to actually make one of the open days with an early tee off time, making it great to get in a round before work. This was also the first round of the year on a course I had yet to play on the list.

Concord Golf Club

I first played Concord Golf Course a years ago in a corporate Ambrose event, which is a great way to get onto some courses, but doesn’t quite leave you as satisfied as having taken on a course yourself, so when a group from my local club decided to play Concord Golf Club on its annual open day I couldn’t resist the temptation.

Western Australian Golf Club

Making the trip to Perth to cash in on one of my birthday presents, playing one of the Top 100 courses, I decided to take advantage and play an extra course close to my hosts residence, Casa Del Como. With only two courses left to play in the city, I decided on the Western Australian Golf Club, not really knowing much about the course before the visit.

Mt Lawley Golf Club

Mt Lawley Golf Club originally formed in 1927, when local residents in the area initiated meetings to establish a golf club. A site was selected (the current site) and funds raised, which initially saw the development of a 10 hole course which members eventually were able to play in 1930.

Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club

A Graham Marsh designed course was completed in 2006, as a part of the Troon group. Located on the outskirts of Sydney (45 minute drive), it incorporates a residential estate.

Lake Karrinyup Country Club

Lake Karrinyup Country Club is situated around 25 minutes north of Perth. It was established in 1928 and designed by Alex Russell. The course is surrounded by flora and fauna, and has a variety of wildlife, from birds in the wetlands to kangaroos hopping around through the native trees.
