Set amongst the hills in the Eastern suburbs, lies one of Sydney’s most exclusive golf venues, Royal Sydney Golf Club. Site to many tournaments, I was keen to see if this course lived up to all the hype.

Getting an invite to catch up with an old golfing buddy, Joe, along with playing one of the esteemed Top 100 Golf courses on the Melbourne Sandbelt, Commonwealth Golf Club, was an opportunity not to be missed.

Terrey Hills Golf and Country Club

Another opportunity arose to play at Terrey Hills Golf and Country Club, so I didn’t hesitate to join. This Top 100 Golf club is set in the hills on the outskirts of the city, the course can prove to be quite challenging.

Sanctuary Lakes Club

Heading west of Melbourne for the first time to play golf, and won’t be the last, I arrived at Sanctuary Lakes Club. The course had quite a bit of water in play along some very nice holes.

The Grand Golf Club

Coming across an open day at The Grand Golf Club being held, was my easy ticket to play at this Top 100 Golf course. This was one of my difficult three, which was proving problematic to gain access.

An opportunity arose via a social golf day to play at another Top 100 Golf Course, Spring Valley Golf Club. Although not a part of the official Melbourne Sandbelt club, it certainly had all the right characteristics for the area.

The National Golf Club Moonah Course

My third round of the April conquest, took me back to The National Golf Club, playing my 75th course (again) of the Top 100 Golf Course list. Oddly enough, my first time reaching 75 was playing the sister Ocean course.
