Played the #paulraktrophy event at @royalmelbourne

Played the #paulraktrophy event at @royalmelbournegolfclub earlier this week. Always a great opportunity to play the course. Even though it’s winter, the course is in great condition. Was surprised with the amount of areas with clearing/vegetation management occurring. I perceived this to feel a bit more open than previous visits. Nice way to spend the weekend, playing one of Melbourne’s best public access courses, #sandygolflinks It might not be a long course, but it can offer up some great challenges. This the fourth, a par 4, has one of the more difficult approach shots, with the green sloping towards the rear. Its also in the best condition I have seen since the renovation #sandbeltgolf #publicgolf #golfcoursearchitecture

One of my favourite holes at @barnbougle on the Dunes course is the 7th. Amazing how such a short hole, admittedly with a small green, can play so differently each day and challenge everyone from low handicappers to beginners. It’s constant evolution over the years due to nature has also been interesting to watch
